Throughout November, the Salem Railway Division is hosting the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0. This nationwide effort is coordinated by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare to help pensioners submit their life certificates electronically.
The Ministry of Railways is partnering in this program to support railway pensioners and family pensioners. Participants can use the Jeevan Pramaan Portal to complete their submissions during the month-long event.
In addition to various mega camps held across the division, a permanent facility is available at the Pass Section of the Salem Divisional Office. This location will accept submissions on all working days between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. throughout the month.
Why It Matters
This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts by the Indian government to streamline administrative processes for retirees through digital empowerment, ensuring that pension services remain accessible and efficient for former railway employees.
