Saiyami Kher Steps Into Global Cinema With Indo-Russian Drama

Actor Saiyami Kher is set to make her international acting debut in an upcoming Indo-Russian drama, according to a press release shared by her publicist.

The untitled film is directed by Maksim Kuznetsov and produced jointly by Kartina Entertainment, White Night Films and Wish Media, bringing together an Indian and Russian creative team. The movie was filmed across locations in both Russia and India.

Kher said the experience was new for her since it involved working with an entirely foreign crew, marking her first visit to Russia. She noted that the working style there differed from what she was used to, but called the collaboration an enjoyable one, adding she hopes for more international projects ahead.

She also said working across different cultures offers a fresh perspective on storytelling and allows filmmakers to learn from varied approaches to cinema. While specific plot details remain under wraps, she confirmed the film is a drama centered around a strong female lead.

Kher was most recently seen in the psychological thriller Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. She has previously featured in films such as Mirzya, Choked, 8 A.M. Metro, Ghoomer and Agni.
