Lady Gaga, Shakira, and Jack White Nominated for Songwriters Hall of Fame 2027

The Songwriters Hall of Fame has revealed its nominees for the 2027 induction class, highlighting a wide array of musical talent across pop, rock, Latin, R&B, and hip-hop. The performing songwriters on the ballot include major stars such as Lady Gaga, Shakira, Pink, Jack White, Sia, Boy George, Vince Gill, and Ne-Yo.

Other prominent performing acts nominated include members of Blondie, ZZ Top, WAR, America, and Grandmaster Melle Mel. The organization honors both famous performing artists and behind-the-scenes songwriters who authored major commercial hits.

The non-performing category features notable creators such as Stargate, the duo behind hits for Rihanna and Beyoncé, and Dan Wilson, who co-wrote Adele's popular ballad "Someone Like You." Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am is also nominated for his work on his group's catalog as well as tracks for John Legend and Usher. Additional nominees include Kandi Burruss, Stock Aitken Waterman, and the writing duo Boy Meets Girl.

Voting for eligible members is open until midnight EST on December 14. The official class of 2027 inductees will be announced in January, ahead of the annual induction ceremony typically held in New York in June.
