Harry Kane signs new deal with Bayern Munich through 2029

Bayern Munich announced on Thursday that striker Harry Kane has agreed to a new contract lasting until June 30, 2029, extending his stay beyond the previous 2027 expiry date. The 33‑year‑old England captain, who joined the German club from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, has netted 156 goals in 161 competitive matches for Bayern. Kane, who was named the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner, said he feels “right at home” in Munich and cited his family’s happiness and a strong rapport with manager Vincent Kompany as reasons for the extension. Bayern’s chief executive Jan‑Christian Dreesen described the deal as a major commitment for the club, noting that it is reportedly the most lucrative contract in Bayern’s history, though financial terms were not disclosed. During his three seasons, Kane has helped Bayern capture two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup, two Super Cups and has been the league’s top scorer each year.
