Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings in Talks for Hardik-Arshdeep Swap

Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings are nearing an agreement on a player exchange involving star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and premier left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Senior management from both franchises have progressed discussions to an advanced stage, with documentation awaiting processing by league executives.

If finalized, Hardik would join Punjab as a player under coach Ricky Ponting, while Shreyas Iyer remains team captain. To accommodate the transition, Punjab may release certain players and potentially target other squad adjustments.

Mumbai explored potential deals with multiple teams after previously considering trade options with other franchises. Several other league teams had also monitored the all-rounder's availability as teams prepare for upcoming roster deadlines and the mini-auction.
